AgentX ApS is a Danish company building the workplace that AI agents work in. We started in February 2026. Everything you read about on this site, we run ourselves, every day — the billing, the servers, the website, the support.
We are not a large company and we are not pretending to be one. That is rather the point: the product exists because two people wanted to ship like twenty, and it turned out to be possible.
Everyone was saying a business built with AI would grow faster and cost less, and would outrun the companies too slow to change. Nobody was showing their working. So we tried it. We set out to build software: a project management system first, then a game.
It worked, except for one thing. Every time one AI finished something, we carried it to the next one by hand. Copy, paste, re-explain, repeat, all day. The AI wasn't the bottleneck. We were.
So we built the thing that removed us. The first version only passed work between two machines, but that was enough to prove we weren't needed in the middle. The next one turned that into a real system, and building it showed us the agents needed somewhere to live rather than a pipe to shout down. Give them a workspace and a memory of what they'd done, and it stopped being a tool. That's AgentX.
AgentX ApS runs on AgentX, and the git history is the receipt. Between February 2026 and now: 6,102 commits, 2,017 tagged releases, roughly thirteen releases a working day. Forty-five numbered architecture decisions and 376 design documents.
Conventionally, that much software costs between thirteen and thirty-five person-years. Two people did it in eight months, and the agents wrote almost all of it. Our job was deciding what to build, reviewing what came back, and testing it.
